1. Who we are

NumberIQ ("NumberIQ," "we," "us," or "our") provides financial intelligence tools and templates for startup founders, accessible at numberiq.ai. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our site, why we collect it, and how it's handled.

NumberIQ is operated by Forge Ahead Consulting (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa.

2. Information we collect

We keep data collection to what's actually needed to run the site:

Waitlist sign-ups. If you submit your email address through our waitlist form, that email is sent to and stored by Formspree, our form-processing provider, so we can notify you when new tools launch. We don't collect your name, payment details, or any other personal information through this form.

Anonymous usage analytics. Our site is hosted on Framer, which collects aggregate, anonymized analytics (such as page views and general visitor counts) to help us understand how the site is used. This data is not tied to your name or email address and is not used to individually identify visitors.

Purchases. If you buy a NumberIQ product, you'll be redirected to Gumroad to complete the purchase. Gumroad processes your payment and order details directly — we do not receive or store your card information. Gumroad's own privacy policy governs how they handle that data.

We do not use tracking cookies for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your information to third parties.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Notify waitlist subscribers when new tools or features launch
  • Understand overall site traffic and usage patterns, in aggregate
  • Respond to inquiries sent to hello@numberiq.ai

4. Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the site:

  • Formspree — processes and stores waitlist email submissions
  • Framer — hosts the site and provides anonymous analytics
  • Gumroad — processes purchases and payment information for our products

These providers may process data outside South Africa. Where that happens, we rely on their own security and data protection commitments to ensure your information stays reasonably protected, consistent with POPIA's requirements for cross-border transfers.

We don't share your information with anyone else, and we don't sell it.

5. Data retention

We retain waitlist email addresses until you ask us to remove them or until the relevant product launches and the waitlist is closed, whichever comes first. Aggregate analytics data does not identify individuals and is retained per Framer's standard hosting practices.

6. Your rights

Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you (the "data subject") have the right to:

  • Ask us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you
  • Request access to that information
  • Request correction or deletion of inaccurate, outdated, or unlawfully held information
  • Object to how we process your information, on reasonable grounds

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@numberiq.ai. We'll respond as soon as reasonably possible. If you're unsatisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with South Africa's Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).

For visitors outside South Africa — including the EU — we aim to align our data practices with the principles of the GDPR (lawful, transparent processing; data minimization; and honoring access, correction, and deletion requests), even though our primary compliance framework is POPIA.

7. Children's privacy

NumberIQ is intended for founders and business professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the product evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Material changes will be reflected here — we recommend checking back periodically.
